About Study Dog: get to know us and our aims

Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you! My name is Leo Carr, and I’m the founder of Study Dog. I’m delighted to share a bit more about my story and passion for changing education.

I started Study Dog in 2020 because, whilst revising for my A Levels, I realised there was such a limited range of affordable resources written for the humanities in general. Instead of paying for ridiculously expensive resources, I decided to make affordable and high-quality revision tools that would have helped me and the tens of thousands of others who take humanities A Levels each year.

Whilst at university in Exeter, I spent my time speaking to former and current students who shared the same experiences, frustrated at the lack of modern learning resources. This drove me to continue to create resources that would help keep students engaged with their learning.

Over the past few years, our family of learning platforms has grown to help over 1,000 students in over 20 countries. We are now building our team of fantastic content writers and subject specialists, and looking forward to helping as many A-level students in the UK and beyond as we can.
